Bhai Dooj occurs a day after Govardhan Pooja and two days after Diwali. One of the most important festivals celebrated by Hindus, Bhai Dooj or Tikka celebrates the love between brothers and sisters.

Bhai Dooj falls on the second lunar day of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the Kartika month.
