The Centre has allocated Rs 8,508 crore for the scheme until March 31, with the total fund, including the state's contribution, reaching Rs 12,064.5 crore.
The package, involving a total allocation of Rs 639 crore, is expected to benefit nearly 51.61 lakh pre-primary and primary school students.
