After border setback, fresh batch of Haryana Sikh pilgrims depart for Pakistan
The group was flagged off from the historic Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi in Kurukshetra by Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) president Jagdish Singh Jhinda.

He said the joint celebration of the International Gita Mahotsav and International Yoga Day in Japan is emerging as a powerful medium for the global dissemination of Indian culture and life values.

Speaking via video message during the International Yoga Day celebrations organised as part of the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav in Japan, Nayab Singh Saini extended his best wishes to all participants.

A large number of Japanese citizens, yoga practitioners, and representatives of various social and cultural organisations enthusiastically participated in the event.
Appreciating the programme, the Chief Minister lauded the efforts of Gita scholar Pujya Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj in promoting and propagating the teachings of the Gita. He also congratulated various social and religious organisations for the successful organisation of the event.
He said that the message of Karmayoga imparted by Lord Krishna in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita continues to inspire humanity even today. This unique confluence of the wisdom of the Gita and the practice of Yoga on the soil of Japan will further strengthen the spirit of global peace, harmony, and human welfare.
The Chief Minister also urged all participants to make Yoga a part of their daily lives and to take a pledge to spread the message of duty, service, righteousness, and humanity embodied in the Gita across the world.
He said that, owing to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, International Yoga Day is now celebrated across the globe. The Chief Minister appreciated the contributions of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, ISKCON, Gita Parivar, and all organisations and volunteers engaged in promoting Indian culture and Sanatan values in Japan.
He said that these institutions are playing a vital role in preserving and passing on India’s rich cultural heritage to future generations while living abroad.
