The Uttar Pradesh legislature was adjourned sine die on Friday after approval of the 2026-27 budget provision.

Budget proposals worth over Rs 9.12 lakh crore were tabled by state finance minister Suresh Kumar Khanna on February 11.

Except for Opposition ruckus during the Governor’s address, the session passed off peacefully.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked the members for their cooperation during the brief session.
