Three men gang-raped a 16-year-old minor in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. They also made video recordings of the crime through their mobile phones and immediately shared them widely.
One of the accused was held by villagers at a paddy field and almost beaten to death, said the Kaushambi police.This accused, Mohammed Nazim, 20, has been arrested. Two others are still absconding. The incident occurred just 190 km away from state capital Lucknow.
The girl was collecting fodder at a nearby village for her cattles when the three men attacked her, she reported to Police. In her police complaint, she said they dragged her to a secluded place and took turns to rape her.

“I had gone to an orchard. They attacked me from behind and gagged me. They did horrible things to me. I managed to escape but I fell in the fields,” the woman said.
According to reports, two policemen have been removed from duty over allegations that they misbehaved with the girl and her family when they came to the police station to file a complaint of rape on Sunday. It is alleged that the policemen refused to register a case initially and even questioned her about the genuineness of her complaint.
Sujeet Pandey, senior police officer, Prayagraj zone said they have made five teams and are looking for the two absconding accused. “One of the accused has been arrested. We have formed five teams. We will move fast and do whatever is required,” he said.
Medical examination of the girl has been done.
