Major General Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi, Commander, UAE Naval Forces (UAEN), laid a wreath at the National War Memorial, here on Tuesday.
The UAE naval chief is on a two-day official visit to India to strengthen maritime cooperation and bilateral ties.

A statement from the naval spokesperson stated that the visit began with a wreath laying ceremony followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour and a bilateral meeting with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of Naval Staff. The discussions focused on enhancing naval engagements, structured training engagements, and maritime cooperation.

The UAE Navy Chief also interacted with General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff.
The visit of Maj Gen Humaid Mohammed Abdullah Alremeithi marks a key milestone in India-UAE Naval relations, aimed at deepening cooperation and promoting shared interests in the Indian Ocean Region, the release stated.
