US President Donald Trump has reportedly invited India to be a part of the Gaza ‘Board of Peace’. Pakistan, Egypt and several other countries have also been invited to join the proposed body.
These invitations are part of Phase Two of Trump’s broader Gaza roadmap aimed at ending the conflict and rebuilding the Strip.

According to reports, countries that become members of the ‘Board of Peace’ may be asked to contribute USD 1 billion as part of their membership.

As per the draft document, member states “shall serve a term of no more than three years from this Charter’s entry into force, subject to renewal by the Chairman.”
Earlier on Friday, the United States announced the formation of a founding Executive Board to operationalise the vision of the Board of Peace, under the chairmanship of President Trump.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, World Bank President Ajay Banga, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Apollo Global Management CEO Marc Rowan, and US Deputy National Security Adviser Robert Gabriel have been appointed as members of the Executive Board.

“Each Executive Board member will oversee a defined portfolio critical to Gaza’s stabilization and long-term success, including, but not limited to, governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization,” the White House said in a statement.
Trump, who is the chairman of the board, has appointed Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Gruenbaum as senior advisors to the Board of Peace, charged with leading day-to-day strategy and operations, and translating the Board’s mandate and diplomatic priorities into disciplined execution.
Nickolay Mladenov will serve as the High Representative for Gaza and will act as the on-the-ground link between the Board of Peace and the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG).

The White House said the NCAG is a vital step forward in implementing Phase Two of Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict — a 20-point roadmap for lasting peace, stability, reconstruction, and prosperity in the region.
The NCAG will be led by Dr. Ali Sha’ath, a widely respected technocratic leader who will oversee the restoration of core public services, the rebuilding of civil institutions, and the stabilization of daily life in Gaza, while laying the foundation for long-term, self-sustaining governance.
