The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi. The officers discussed advancing the bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries’ armies.

In a post on X, the Indian Army shared, “Their discussions focused on advancing bilateral Defence Cooperation, expanding military-to-military ties, the prevailing geostrategic environment in the region and reaffirming the mutual commitment to regional stability and global peace.”

Meanwhile, Lt Gen Simon Stuart, AO, DSC, Chief of Army, Australia, met Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, during his official visit to India.

In a post on X, the Indian Air Force wrote, “The two leaders held productive discussions, reaffirming their shared commitment in strengthening defence cooperation. On the sidelines, IAF Master Warrant Officer Pradeep Kumar Yadav and Regimental Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer Kim Felmingham, NSC, OAM, of the Australian Army also interacted, underscoring the close ties between the two forces.”

Earlier, the Australian Army chief was also briefed on the recent initiatives being undertaken by the Indian Army including construction of the state-of-the-art ‘Thal Sena Bhavan’. Lieutenant General Simon Stuart also planted a Tree at Manekshaw Centre to commemorate the everlasting friendship between the armies of both the countries.

Warrant Officer Kim Felmingham, Regimental Sergeant Major – Australian Army interacted with Subedar Major Gopa Kumar S. The duo held discussions on the role of junior leaders, challenges faced with troops and various mitigation measures being incorporated in both the armies.
