BRS woos Muslim with Kavitha card
Rao referred to his daughter K Kavitha’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Delhi Liquor Scam to convince them that his party was not colluding with the BJP.
Telangana government has identified 2.82 lakh duplicate applications among those received for the implementation of five guarantees promised during the election.
The government had received a total of 1.09 crore applications from the people during a ten-day long exercise, held last month.
Three more guarantees are to be fulfilled soon including domestic gas cylinder at Rs 500, Indiramma houses for the poor and 200 units of free power after making provisions in the State Budget.

The Congress government in the state is under pressure for swift implementation of the five poll guarantees, particularly with the Lok Sabha elections just around.
Both the BJP and the BRS have been quite vocal over expediting the implementation of the five guarantees.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today held a review meeting with the members of the Cabinet sub-committee, which was entrusted with overseeing the implementation of poll promises.
The data entry process was completed by 12 January. Officials found that nearly 2.82 applications submitted to them turned out to be duplicate ones.
There were a number of incomplete applications where ration cards and aadhar numbers were missing or incorrect. The Chief Minister directed the officials to re-examine the applications so that deserving beneficiaries were not left out.
The Congress government was planning to implement two more guarantees soon including free electricity up to 200 units and gas cylinders at Rs 500 for households with ration cards after the state Budget.
It will also release an instalment of the enhanced input subsidy for farmers in this month as promised. However, the BRS has already started urging people not to pay for electricity bills while the BJP asked about the job notifications as was promised by the Congress.
Meanwhile, a number of state government employees today publicly thanked the chief minister after their salaries were credited in their bank accounts on the first day of the month. During the BRS regime salaries of employees were delayed.
