NDA leaders in Bihar have demanded that the Election Commission of India (ECI) take cognisance of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s two voter ID cards and file a case against him.
At a joint press conference held in Patna on Sunday, NDA spokespersons said that Tejashwi Yadav tried to create a sensation by claiming that his name was missing from the voter list. When the Election Commission clarified that his name was indeed in the list, he presented a new EPIC number, offering a different claim.

The NDA spokespersons stated, “Where did the two EPIC numbers come from? No person is allowed to have two voter ID cards. If someone does, it is a criminal offence. The Election Commission should take cognisance of this and file a case against Tejashwi Yadav immediately.”
The press conference saw BJP’s national spokesperson Ajay Alok, JD(U)’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, LJP (Ram Vilas) spokesperson Rajesh Bhatt, Hindustani Awam Morcha’s Shyam Sundar, National Lok Morcha’s spokesperson Nitin Bharti, and BJP’s media in-charge Danish Iqbal in attendance.
The NDA spokespersons stated that the opposition alliance is continuously losing elections, but its leaders are not learning. The issue of Tejashwi Yadav’s two voter ID cards was highlighted as a serious matter, and the NDA demanded a full investigation.
They mentioned that Tejashwi Yadav has already been linked to seven scams, and now an eighth scam involving the voter ID card has surfaced.
Calling Tejashwi Yadav a political fraud, the NDA demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and urged the Election Commission to register a case against him. They further accused Tejashwi of undermining democratic values.
NDA spokespersons targeted the leaders of the opposition alliance, accusing them of not only insulting constitutional institutions but also threatening them, with an apparent intention to create chaos in the country. They stated that these actions were an embarrassment to democracy.
The NDA spokespersons asserted that while the RJD may accept such leadership, the people of Bihar would never accept such individuals in leadership roles.
