Patanjali University students win gold medal at National Yogasana Championship
The university, known for promoting yoga, Ayurveda, and Indian knowledge traditions, continues to make steady progress in both academics and sports.
The role of teachers in contributing, guiding and presenting ideals was specially highlighted in the ceremony.
Teachers’ Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Patanjali University, Haridwar with students from different faculties giving heartfelt performances in honor of their teachers.
On the occasion, professors, students and officials from various faculties of the university were present in large numbers. The role of teachers in contributing, guiding and presenting ideals was specially highlighted in the ceremony.

The ceremony began with the chanting of Vedic mantras amid lighting of traditional lamps. After this, the students of BA (Yoga Science), BSc (Yoga Science), MA (Psychology), MA (Yoga Science) and BNYS of the university presented emotional speeches and melodious songs in honour of the teachers.

As the keynote speaker for the occasion, Prof. Sadhvi Devpriya, Dean of the Faculty of Yoga and Humanities and Oriental Studies, said teachers are not only the carriers of knowledge but also educators of culture, discipline and values in the lives of students. The specialty of Patanjali University is that culture and life vision are also given here along with education.
On this occasion, the university’s registrar Swami Arshdev in his address said that the aim of education is not only to get employment, but also to build character and give direction to the society. Every teacher of our university is playing an important role in taking this tradition forward.
In the program, the university’s Dean Academic Prof. Ritwik Sahay Bisaria, IQAC Cell Coordinator Prof. KNS Yadav, Controller of Examinations and Dean of Allied and Applied Sciences Faculty Prof. AK Singh, and Dean of Yoga and Naturopathy Faculty Prof. Toran Singh also expressed their views and underlined the role of teachers in building the society.
The presentation of the students was evaluated by Dr. Romesh Sharma and Avinanda Dutta as the jury. The program was organized by Dr. Vaishali Gaur, Head of the Department of Psychology and Assistant Professor of Yoga Science Department Dr. Monica Sharma. The stage was conducted by Ahana Gupta, Vritti and Harshit.
All the faculty members, department heads, deans, officers and students of Patanjali University were present in the ceremony and contributed in making the Teachers’ Day dignified.
