Jammu and Kashmir: Army’s rescue operation in flood-hit Rajouri saves 11 civilians
Among the 11 rescued persons, five were children. They were stranded at different places in the flood-affected district following incessant rainfall.

The Indian Army launched a massive search operation on Monday after a soldier went missing during a river crossing training exercise in the Sunderbani sector near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district.
The White Knight Corps wrote on X: “During a river crossing training exercise conducted in the general area of Sundarbani, Sepoy Akshit Sharma was reported missing at around 12 pm today”.

“Extensive search operations are underway with all available resources of the Indian Army and civil agencies being employed to locate the soldier”, the Army said.
