“These fake applications for voter deletion were being sent from a data operating center in Kalaburagi,” the Congress claimed.

Following Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s alleged ‘vote theft’ expose in Karnataka’s Aland Constituency, Karnataka formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigation the allegations.

During its investigation, the Congress said, the SIT had conducted raids at the premises of BJP leader Subhash Guttedar, his sons, and their chartered accountant, recovering 7 laptops and several mobile phones.

The Congress party said that Aland was just one small example of the large scale “vote theft” and the revalation of where else the BJP has allegedly carried out such ‘vote theft’ is yet to come.

“This ‘vote theft’ by BJP is a direct attack on democracy—where the rights of the poor and marginalized are being snatched away, and their voices are being suppressed,” the party added.
