Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has alleged that the Sabarimala gold loot was part of a larger conspiracy involving both the Congress and CPM and that it had begun during the Congress regime.
Sharing photographs of Unnikrishnan Potty, the key accused in the Sabarimala gold loot case, with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a Facebook post on Saturday, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the Sabarimala gold loot is part of a larger conspiracy involving both the Congress and CPM and that it had begun during the Congress regime.

Unnikrishnan Potty is just a small fry. More bigwigs in the ‘INDI’ alliance network have a clear role in this. Only through an independent and impartial investigation by central agencies can justice be ensured and the culprits be brought to justice, Chandrasekhar said.
“It has now been proven that the arguments we put forward from the beginning were correct. Our clear position was that the gold looting in Sabarimala was part of a larger conspiracy, and that it had begun during the Congress regime.
The photos of Unnikrishnan Potti with Sonia Gandhi reveal the depth and reality of the unholy Congress-CPM relationship behind this.
The reasons for Congress’s silence, even as lakhs of Hindu believers took to the stage demanding justice, are now becoming clear,” the BJP Kerala chief said in his Facebook post.
The CPM and Congress, which pretend to be political opponents in Kerala, are complicit in the crime. If it were not for the constant protests of BJP workers and Hindu believers, INDI partners would have buried this case as alliance partners, Rajeev Chandrasekhar alleged.
Meanwhile, speaking to media persons here, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the case being filed 10 days before the local body polls against Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil is a political ploy by the CPM to divert public attention from the Sabarimala gold loot.
“The case was registered just ten days before the elections. It is a CPM ploy to cover up the gold smuggling scandal,” he said.
Stating that the allegations against Mamkootathil existed even before the by-election, Chandrasekhar said: “Still the Congress imposed him on the people of Palakkad.”
He alleged that the CPM and Congress, the two INDI bloc partners, are trying together to divert public attention from the Sabarimala gold loot. The BJP won’t allow that, he added.
