Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday extended his warm wishes to Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.
PM Modi praised Bhagwat’s lifelong dedication to societal transformation and strengthening the spirit of harmony and fraternity, inspired by the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

“Inspired by the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Shri Mohan Bhagwat Ji has dedicated his entire life to societal transformation and strengthening the spirit of harmony and fraternity. Praying for his long and healthy life in service of Maa Bharti,” Modi said in a post on X.
Mohan Bhagwat was born on September 11, 1950, in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district. He has been the RSS chief since 2009 and is known for his organisational skills and influence in Indian public life.
Bhagwat has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the RSS and broadening its outreach. Under his leadership, the RSS has significantly expanded its presence across the country, with a focus on promoting education and a sense of national identity.
He has also emphasized the importance of youth participation in the organization and has worked to enhance the RSS’s global outreach.
