Reddy pointed out that the 12-month-long gap between the two summits in Davos led to a long waiting period for investors. He said, “One year is a very long time for follow-ups in modern business cycles and making investment decisions. I request you to join me in bringing a July WEF to Hyderabad.”

According to the state industry and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, the proposal received strong support from those present at the event. “The strong support it received reflected growing global confidence in Hyderabad as a centre for policy dialogue, investment and innovation, with this year’s engagement focused on Telangana’s long-term vision and future-ready policies beyond MoUs,” said the minister.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also unveiled the Telangana Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026-2030 at Davos, which charts a clear roadmap to position the state among the top five global life sciences clusters by 2030. The policy targets USD 25 billion in investment and creation of 5 lakh new jobs with a strong focus on high-value R&D, advanced biologics and therapies and environmentally sustainable manufacturing.

The Telangana AI Innovation Hub was also launched at this event. Reddy also showcased the state’s major infrastructure expansion, including Bharat Future City and Hyderabad‘s emergence as a major global capability centre (GCC) Hub. L’Oréal announced its first-ever Beauty Tech Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad, which will be inaugurated in November this year. The company also agreed to explore the setting up of a manufacturing unit in the future.
