Signs are not good over Congress view on inheritance tax: Rajnath Singh
Singh was addressing an election rally in Lakhimpur Kheri in support of the BJP candidate and Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh sought to downplay the BJP’s defeat in the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha bypoll in Punjab today.
“The graph of the BJP is rising among the people of the country. A win on one seat does not reflect public sentiments,” Singh said on the sidelines of an event held here today.
Sunil Jakhar of the Congress won the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat, defeating the BJP’s Swaran Salaria by more than 1.93 lakh votes.
