Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the Rajasthan Police on Wednesday caught a Sub-Inspector posted at the Gandhi Nagar police station red-handed while she was accepting a bribe of ₹1.25 lakh.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Swami, who led the ACB team that executed the trap, said that SI Rajkumari Juneja had accepted the bribe in exchange for closing a criminal case by filing a final report (FR).

The accused officer had reportedly demanded ₹2 lakh for filing the FR in a case in which she was the investigating officer (IO). The amount of ₹1.25 lakh seized during the trap was part of the agreed sum.
The complainant, who is an accused in the criminal case, approached the ACB after being asked for the bribe. The complaint was verified as per directives from the police headquarters before the trap was laid.
The accused SI is likely to be produced before the court on Thursday. Meanwhile, an ACB team also conducted searches at Juneja’s residence.
