Power Grid Corporation of India, the Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, was conferred the “CSR Leader of the Year Award” by the Governance Now at the 9th PSU Awards Ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday.

The corporation also bagged four more awards, which include Environment Sustainability Award, Nation Building Award, Research & Innovation Award, and Digital PSU Award. Dr. V K Singh, Director of the corporation received the CSR Leader of the Year Award for his overall contribution to CSR service.

Justice Dipak Misra, former chief justice of India, presented the awards. The awards are in recognition of POWERGRID’s work in the fields of CSR & sustainability, innovation, and use of IT in nation-building.
