Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has postponed his  visit to Telangana on 19 January. The revised schedule will be announced very soon.

According to BJP state president, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Prime Minister was scheduled to flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam and other developmental works worth Rs 2,400 crores. A massive public gathering was also planned at the Secunderabad Parade Ground.

The Prime Minister was scheduled to lay the foundation stone for redevelopment and modernisation of Secunderabad Railway Station for Rs 699 crore, railway periodic overhauling workshop at Kazipet for Rs521 crore, a series of widening projects for national highway including between Mahabubnagar and Chincholi for Rs 1336 crore and Nizampet and Narayadkhed-Bidar section for Rs 513 crore.

He was further scheduled to inaugurate the railway doubling of line between Secunderabad and Mahbubnagar as well unveil various facilities at IIT Hyderabad built at a cost of Rs 2597 crore.
