Preparations are in full swing in Ayodhya ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival here on November 25 for the flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Prime Minister Modi will hoist a saffron flag atop the 191-foot-high spire of the newly built Ram Temple.
PM Modi will be accorded a grand welcome by the saints, religious leaders, and priests of Ayodhya amid Vedic mantras and blowing of conch shells.

Preparations are underway to hoist the saffron flag in every home during the flag hoisting ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on November 25. Besides, five ghee diyas will be lit in homes, courtyards, and temples in the evening, and chanting of Ram’s name will be performed.
Ayodhya MLA Ved Prakash Gupta is urging people to participate in this campaign. He urged them to maintain a sacred atmosphere in their homes by paying special attention to cleanliness.
The BJP’s outreach campaign is underway to prepare for the Prime Minister’s welcome. Thousands of saints will be present during the welcome event, which will be divine and unique.
Meanwhile, a massive cleanliness drive is underway in various neighbourhoods and streets to give the city a clean and attractive look. The route for Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on November 25 has been finalised following the approval of the Special Protection Group (SPG).
On November 25, PM Modi will arrive by helicopter from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport to the helipad at Saket College. From there, he will enter the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi via the Rampath and enter the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi through the Jagadguru Aadi Shankaracharya Gate.
At the main gate of Saket College, a grand welcome for PM Modi will be held in accordance with the Vedic tradition of Ayodhya. The Prime Minister will be welcomed amidst the chanting of the Swasti by 501 Batuk Brahmins, the blowing of conch shells by saints and mahants, and the sacred sound of bells and gongs.
Ayodhya residents standing on both sides of the Rampath from Saket College to Gate No. 11 of Ram Janmabhoomi, imee, the Jagadguru Aadi Shankaracharya Gate, will greet the PM with a shower of flowers. Twelve platforms will be set up for the welcome. A flower shower will be held from there. Cultural programs will be held at seven locations along the welcome route.
A two-day cultural festival will also be organised to welcome Prime Minister Modi at the flag unfurling ceremony. This festival will showcase Indian traditions, spirituality, and folk arts. Performances of music, dance, folk arts, and traditional musical instruments will be the main attractions.
From bhajan singing to traditional folk tunes of Braj, folk singing groups from various regions of the state will present their rich cultural heritage. Special performances of traditional instruments like the shehnai, sarangi, pakhawaj, flute, sarod, and sitar will add a spiritual aura to the event. Through the efforts of the Culture Department, those witnessing the flag hoisting ceremony will be treated to a wonderful display of the state’s traditional folk dances and classical arts.
The diverse cultural colours of the state will be reflected in the grand procession. Folk dances like Mayur, Rai, Faruwahi, Badhawa, Awadhi, Karma, Dhedhiya, Dhobiya, Kaharwa, Vantangiya, and Barahsingha — all on one stage — will be a special attraction of this event. In the classical dance category, a captivating performance of Kathak will mesmerise the audience.
