Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reprimanded the Congress party over its alleged stripping protest at the AI Summit, saying the country already knows about its “nakedness.”

“The world’s largest AI conference was held in India and the entire country was filled with pride, but what did the Congress party and its ecosystem do? They turned the global event into an arena for dirty and naked politics. Congress leaders arrived naked in front of foreign guests,” he charged.

Addressing a mammoth rally in Mohiuddinpur here after flagging off the Meerut Metro and the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, the Prime Minister said, “I ask the Congress: the country already knows you are naked, so why was there a need to undress? What Congress leaders did shows how ideologically bankrupt and impoverished the country’s oldest party has become.”

After flagging off the projects, the Prime Minister travelled with schoolchildren and doctors, interacted with them, and later inaugurated development projects worth ₹12,930 crore.

Referring again to the alleged protest, he said, “Look at what happened at the AI summit. Did the TMC, DMK, or BSP commit such an act? No. Only the unruly leaders of the Congress party are bent on destroying the country. If you want to sit on the Prime Minister’s chair, you must first win the hearts of the people.”

He quipped, “You cannot become Prime Minister by sending women MPs and capturing seats. Have you become so hollow that you are using mothers and sisters for this? Congress has become a burden on the country.”

Elaborating further, the Prime Minister said, “No one can imagine such a thing. We are the kind of people who, whenever there is a wedding in the village, put in all efforts to make it a success so that guests leave with a good impression. Congress is busy defaming its own country. Congress leaders hate Modi and want to dig my grave. They do not even hesitate to abuse my mother. They oppose the BJP and the NDA. That is part of politics, and we tolerate that too.

“But Congress should have remembered that this Global AI Summit was not a BJP event. It was a national event meant to honour the country, but the day before yesterday, Congress broke all decorum,” he said.

The Prime Minister said, “On one hand, citizens are working to develop India, but some political parties are unable to digest India’s success. Representatives from more than 80 countries came to Delhi. The entire country was filled with pride, but Congress turned a global event into an arena for its dirty and naked politics. Congress leaders reached the venue after stripping off their clothes in front of foreign guests.”

Clarifying about international agreements, he said, “The global agreements signed by the BJP government in recent years will benefit India’s small and cottage industries. Those involved in Meerut’s sports goods, scissors, Khurja’s crockery, Moradabad’s brass, and Saharanpur’s wood carving will benefit. The BJP’s priority is to take the potential of cities, both big and small, to every corner of the world.”

He said the Congress government had failed to reach agreements with developed countries in the past.

“Today, people around the world have faith in India. Many developed countries are entering into trade agreements with India. There was a time when the Congress government, despite its intentions, was unable to reach such agreements, as the world hesitated to engage with a government notorious for scams. Today, developed countries are eager to partner with India because they see promise in the country,” he added.
