The list of members elected to the National Executive Committee prominently includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur, Keshav Prasad Maurya from Prayagraj, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak from Unnao, Bhupendra Chaudhary from Sambhal, Smriti Irani from Sultanpur, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Surya Pratap Shahi and Ramapati Ram Tripathi.

This is considered a significant event in the history of the BJP’s organisational elections. After the election of Laxmikant Bajpai, this is the first time that a formal election process has been adopted for the post of state BJP president.

With the assembly elections scheduled for 2027, the party leadership hopes that under Pankaj Chaudhary’s leadership, there will be better coordination between the organisation and the government, and the BJP will benefit from this development in the upcoming elections.
