‘Growth momentum remains strong’: PM Modi hails 7.7% GDP expansion in FY26

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday expressed his heartfelt gratitude to world leaders and citizens for their congratulatory messages on his 75th birthday.
In a post on handle X, Modi said, “I am overwhelmed and emotional upon receiving countless congratulatory messages from within the country and abroad. The sentiment of affection in these messages, along with immense blessings, is highly inspiring. You all are my family. I express my heartfelt gratitude to every member of my family.”

The congratulatory messages poured in from global leaders, including, among others, US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. Putin praised Modi’s leadership and contributions to strengthening India-Russia ties, while Trump was the first to directly communicate with Modi since the “Op Sindoor” debacle.
Modi’s birthday wishes were not limited to world leaders, as citizens, party workers, and Bollywood celebrities also took to social media to congratulate him. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt wished Modi, saying, “Wishing you a very happy birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. May your leadership continue to shape the future of our great nation and lead us towards even more progress.”
Business leaders like Mukesh Ambani also extended their wishes, hoping that Modi would continue to serve India when the country turns 100.
