Addressing a press conference on Monday, Speaker Om Birla said India was honoured to host the 28th CSPOC at a time when legislatures worldwide are confronting new challenges and opportunities arising from rapid technological change, evolving public expectations, and growing concerns related to the security and well-being of legislators.

He added that this year’s Conference would place special emphasis on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and social media in parliamentary work, while safeguarding the core democratic principles of transparency, accountability, and impartiality.
