On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the government’s dedication to promoting dignity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for Divyang (differently-abled) individuals across the country.

In a message posted on his official X handle, Modi praised the remarkable contributions of persons with disabilities, attributing their success to creativity and determination.

“They have distinguished themselves across sectors, thanks to their creativity and determination. At the same time, they have enriched our national progress significantly,” the Prime Minister said, highlighting the vital role of inclusive growth in India’s development.

PM Modi also acknowledged the government’s efforts in advancing Divyang welfare through progressive laws, accessible infrastructure, inclusive education policies, and innovations in assistive technologies.

“Over the years, India has taken important steps towards Divyang Kalyan through laws, accessible infrastructure, inclusive education policies, and innovations in assistive technologies,” he noted.

Assuring continued support, PM Modi stated, “We will continue to do more in the times to come,” emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to empower differently-abled citizens and uphold their rights and dignity.
