Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ajmer on Saturday on a brief visit, where he launched a nationwide HPV vaccination drive and inaugurated development projects worth ₹16,686 crore. He also distributed appointment letters to 21,863 job-seeking youths.

The Prime Minister landed at Kishangarh Airport near Ajmer around 11:00 am aboard an Indian Air Force special aircraft, from where he boarded a helicopter to reach the Ghoghra helipad. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma accompanied him during the visit.

Upon arrival at the venue of the day’s programme at Kayad Vishram Sthali, the Prime Minister, along with the Chief Minister, visited a vaccination camp and formally launched the national HPV vaccination drive aimed at protecting girls aged 9 to 14 years from cervical cancer. The Prime Minister also interacted with a group of schoolgirls from the targeted age group.

During the visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 43 major projects related to drinking water supply, irrigation, roads, energy, and urban development, involving a total investment of ₹16,686 crore.

Out of these, 34 projects worth ₹8,554 crore are linked to various Rajasthan government departments, while nine projects worth ₹8,132 crore pertain to the national highways and energy sectors.

The Prime Minister also handed over appointment letters to 21,863 youths as part of the government’s employment generation initiative.

Later, he addressed a large public gathering at Kayad Vishram Sthali. Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kishanrao Bagade, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Dr Prem Chand Bairwa, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, along with several other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
