Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a massive verbal onslaught against the Congress, accusing it of “shaming and hating” India at the recent global AI summit in Delhi and “defaming the nation and its armed forces” on every occasion.
“The Congress has become vindictive against India and its people due to its successive electoral defeats. The INC, which once stood for “Indian National Congress”, no longer exists. It has transformed itself into MMC — Muslim League-y Maoist Congress”, Modi said while addressing a mammoth public meeting at Kayad Vishram Sthali here.

He said, “Poore desh mein lagataar haar rahi Congress apni haar ka badla Bharat ko badnaam karke le rahi hai,” alleging that after suffering repeated electoral defeats across the country, the Congress was seeking revenge by defaming India.
Elaborating on his remarks, the Prime Minister said that heads of several governments and leaders of major global companies attended an international-level AI conference in New Delhi recently.
He said the global dignitaries had showered praise on Bharat and its transforming progress. However, the Congress, frustrated by a series of political defeats, chose to defame and dishonour the country and its people even at such an international event, referring to the shirtless demonstration.
He said, “History shows that the Muslim League has always harboured hatred towards Bharat (India). Nowadays, the Congress and the Maoists have also begun opposing India and the praise and transformation it is receiving.
“The Maoists are known for waylaying and carrying out targeted ambushes. Similarly, the Congress looks for every opportunity to defame and dishonour the country and its people.”
He said they had an old habit of defaming our armed forces at every possible opportunity. During their tenure in power, they failed to provide soldiers with basic amenities, including proper uniforms, and kept them waiting for a long time for the implementation of One Rank, One Pension (OROP), Modi said.
In contrast, he added, the armed forces have successfully carried out all assigned tasks and missions on every front, delivering decisive blows to the enemy.
He said that in recent years, right from the surgical strikes to Operation Sindoor, Indian soldiers had accomplished every assigned task and target with flying colours.
However, the Congress had consistently aligned with the country’s enemies, he added.
He further said that during its tenure in Rajasthan, the Congress and its leaders indulged in massive corruption, factionalism and internal infighting at the cost of the state’s development and the welfare of its people. The Prime Minister also referred to instances of “paper leaks and other irregularities” under the previous Congress regime, taking aim at regional leaders as well.
In contrast, he said, the “double-engine” BJP government in the state has put Rajasthan on a fast track to development.
“It is a matter of satisfaction for me that the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP government has been working swiftly to fulfil its promises and commitments towards development and welfare,” the Prime Minister said.
He said the day was significant for Rajasthan’s development drive, as projects worth around Rs 17,000 crore were being launched and appointment letters for government jobs were being distributed to 22,000 youths. He also lauded the Sharma government for curbing incidents of paper leaks.
The national HPV vaccination campaign was also launched in the state on the occasion. “I congratulate all of you on these achievements,” he said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma presented a brief overview of development works undertaken in the state and highlighted his government’s performance over the past two years.
Governor Haribhau Kishanrao Bagade, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary, and Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Dr Prem Chand Bairwa were also present on the occasion.
