Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep sadness over the loss of lives in a mishap in Rangareddy district, Telangana, and announced ex-gratia relief for the affected families.
In a statement, the Prime Minister expressed his deep sadness over the incident and said his thoughts are with the affected individuals and their families.
“The loss of lives due to a mishap in the Rangareddy district of Telangana is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured,” PM Modi said in a post on X.

The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.

A total of 19 people reportedly died in a road accident that occurred at the Mirjaguda-Khanapur road near Chevella in Rangareddy district of Telangana on Monday. The incident occurred around 8 AM on the Vikarabad-Hyderabad stretch when a truck reportedly rammed into an RTC bus while attempting to overtake a two-wheeler.
