Kerala Police Chief Rawada Chandrashekhar has said that after the ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI), its activists in Kerala have migrated to the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).

In an interview given to a Malayalam news channel, Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) Rawada Chandrashekhar stated that the activities of the banned organisation PFI have shifted to SDPI.

“After the ban on PFI, strict action was taken in several states, including Kerala. Those who are sympathetic to PFI have migrated to parties like SDPI. They will be monitored, and appropriate action will be taken,” said Chandrashekhar.

He also expressed concern over the increasing influx of foreign drugs into India, stating that synthetic drugs are being trafficked from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

“The Kerala Police will devise a comprehensive plan to combat drug trafficking into the state, with the support of central agencies,” he said.

“Strong action will be taken against the drug mafia. A joint crackdown by various departments is already underway. The Kerala Police will lead a major coordinated operation against drug trafficking,” the DGP added.
