Patanjali University celebrated 150 years of India’s patriotic anthem ‘Vande Mataram’. And to mark the occasion, the university hosted a poster competition on campus.

The event aimed at promoting patriotism, cultural awareness and unity. It received enthusiastic participation from the NCC cadets of the varsity. The students poured their imagination and dedication into the competition.

The posters depicted the glorious traditions of India, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, and the contributions of the heroes who continue to shape the nation. Each work of art had a tale to tell. They talked about history and also about dedication and commitment to the country. Over 50 NCC cadets participated.

The university announced the winners in order of merit. Yash Gulia, a student of BA Yoga Science, secured first prize. Second prize was bagged by Lakshita Singh and third prize by Ravi Kumar. University officials congratulated the participants and mentioned that these types of competitions promote creativity among students and help them develop a sense of commitment and pride towards their nation.

The program came to a close on a high note with the NCC cadets chanting ‘Vande Mataram’ in unison.

The competition saw the presence of Swami Arshdev (Registrar), Prof AK Singh (Controller of Examinations), Dr Vinay Sharma (Dean of Student Welfare), Sadhvi Devpratishtha (Warden of Girls’ Hostel), and Swami Keshavdev (Warden of Boys’ Hostel). They were also part of the panel of judges. Dr Shiv Kumar, NCC Officer and Associate Professor of Physical Education, along with faculty members, students and staff attended to cheer and encourage the occasion.
