An unidentified Pakistani terrorist of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba (LeT) on Thursday killed in an encounter with security forces at Hajin in Bandipura of North Kashmir.
According to a spokesperson of the Army, the encounter broke out in the wee hours when the security forces cordoned the Shakurdin village following intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists.
The search operation by the 13 battalion of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 45 battalion of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police turned into an encounter after terrorists opened fire towards security forces.

The terrorist was killed during the exchange of fire. The police has registered a case and investigation has been started under the relevant provision of the law.
The body of a Pakistani terrorist was found in the area on Wednesday following an encounter a day earlier. Locals did not hand-over the body to police and buried it.
