In the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack, massive public outrage erupted on Sunday as people slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Narendra Modi-led NDA government for allowing India vs Pakistan match in the ongoing Asian Cup in UAE.

The India vs Pakistan Asia Cup match is being played at the Dubai International Stadium with a large section of people calling for the boycott of the match.

People took to social media to express their anger and slammed the BCCI and the government for allowing the match.

“A little over 4 months after Pahalgam terrorist attack, India plays Pakistan Hello @BCCI, India will remember that you made us play cricket with the country of Rana Faheem Ashraf,” Shashank posted on X with an image shared by Pakistani cricket Ashraf after Operation Sindoor.

“Less than 5 months post the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, we are about to play cricket with Pakistan again, with players like Faheem Ashraf in their team. What an absolute disgrace @BCCI,” said another who goes by the handle DoctorLFC on X.

One of the X users posted an image of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and called him out for allowing the India vs Pakistan match broadcast in India.

“Just a reminder that Ashwini Vaishnaw is the Information and Broadcasting minister of India. He has allowed the broadcast of lndia Vs Pakistan match,” he wrote on X.

Meanwhile, Sawan Parmar, who lost his father and brother in the Pahalgam terror attack, said that Operation Sindoor seems to be a waste now.

“If you want to play the match, bring me back my 16-year-old brother who was shot with so many bullets… Operation Sindoor seems to be a waste now…,” he told a news agency on Saturday.

Meanwhile, India reduced Pakistan to 127/9 in 20 overs as the two arch-rivals clashed in Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

In response, India lost opener Shubman Gill early in the second over. At the time of writing this report, India were 41/1 in 3.2 overs with Abhishek Sharma (31 off 11) and Suryakumar Yadav (0 off 0) were on the crease.
