Nadda hails Modi’s northeast integration efforts
Nadda took a dig at the Congress, recalling Kokrajhar's history of insurgency, which he attributed to the Congress's role in fostering divisions among communities.
DMK leader MK Stalin penned an emotional letter to his departed father and party leader M Karunanidhi on Wednesday, asking him: “This one time, can I call you Appa?”
A chief minister for five times and leader of the DMK party for 50 years, 94-year-old Karunanidhi breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai owing to age-related ailments.
Stalin said in his letter: “Rather than calling you as Appa, Appa, I have called you as Thalaivaray, Thalaivaray (my leader) more number of times. Can I call you as Appa once Thalaivaray.”

Stalin asked his departed father Karunanidhi as to why he did not tell where he was going this time when his habit was always to inform his destination before starting out.
“Thirty three years back, you had said your grave should have the words… the person who had worked without rest is resting here. Have you departed with the satisfaction of having worked hard for the Tamil community,” Stalin wrote.

“I beg for that strength and for the heart you borrowed from Aringar Anna. Will you give it to me, Thalaivare? With that charity, we will win over your unfulfilled wishes and dreams,” he added
Meanwhile, the Madras High Court on Wednesday allowed the burial of Karunanidhi on the Marina beach. At a special hearing, the first bench comprising Acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and S S Sundar passed the order on a petition filed by the DMK.
Tamil Nadu’s main opposition party had moved the court Tuesday night after the AIADMK government rejected its request for allowing Karunanidhi’s burial on the famed Marina sands alongside his mentor and former chief minister C N Annadurai.
