PM Modi to undertake 3-nation visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman from Dec 15
At the invitation of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, PM Modi will undertake a visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from December 15 – 16.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Muscat, Oman on Wednesday evening for a two-day visit, the third and final leg of PM Modi’s three-nation visit.
The prime minister is visiting the Gulf nation at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold bilateral discussions on strengthening the Strategic Partnership and expanding cooperation in commercial and economic sectors.

In a post on X, Mr Modi said, “Landed in Muscat, Oman. This is a land of enduring friendship and deep historical connections with India. This visit offers an opportunity to explore new avenues of collaboration and add fresh momentum to our partnership.”

Upon his arrival, Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said received PM Modi with warmth at the airport.
The two leaders greeted each other at the airport. Later, a Guard of Honour was accorded to PM Modi as part of his ceremonial welcome.
This will be Prime Minister Modi’s second visit to Oman, underscoring the growing depth of the India-Oman strategic partnership.
The visit assumes special significance as it coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Oman. It also follows Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s state visit to India in December 2023, reflecting the high-level political engagement between the two countries.
During his stay, the prime minister is scheduled to hold comprehensive talks with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, focusing on the full spectrum of bilateral relations. The discussions are expected to cover key areas, including trade and investment, energy cooperation, defence and security, technology, agriculture, and cultural exchanges. The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
