Four robbers, involved in committing one after another robbery in a short span of time in Dwarka District of the national capital, have eventually landed into the police net.
The accused have been identified as Saif Ali (22), Salman (22), Rohit (22), and Wasim (22), all residents of Dwarka, New Delhi. Robbed cash and other items along with weapons used in the commission of crime have been recovered. Police have seized the bike used by the accused during the crime.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka District), M Harsh Vardhan said that an incident of robbery was reported on December 29, at Dwarka North Police Station, wherein the complainant stated that while he was present at Vardhman Mall, DDA Market, Sector-03, Dwarka, three unknown boys came and forcefully robbed his cash including foreign currency Riyal and fled from the spot.
As per the statement of the complainant a case was registered and investigation was taken up. A dedicated team of Dwarka North Police Station led by Inspector Mohit and comprising Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Manoj, Satender, Ran Singh, Head-Constable Ombir, Mukesh, and Rajesh was constituted. The team started tracking the criminals by following the possible route taken by them.
Meanwhile, secret information was received by ASI Manoj on Friday regarding a boy involved in the robbery. The information was shared by the police official and immediately a raid was conducted at JJ Colony, Sector 3 Dwarka, by the team. During the raid, the accused Saif Ali was apprehended and on his instance his other three associates were also arrested along with robbed items.
