“There are 30 lakh posts vacant in government departments. PM Modi is not giving jobs because people from SC, ST and OBC will come through reservation. His slogan was ‘Sabka saath, sabka vikas’ but he has destroyed everyone,” he said.

Attacking the government, the Congress chief further said, “In the last 10, theBJP government just kept playing with the emotions of the people of the country. He (Modi) assured help to small businessmen, but gave loans only to the BJP-RSS people. The poor do not get loans because they have even scared the banks.”

Talking about the farmers, he said, “There is a huge burden of tax and GST on the common man. The Modi government is giving loans worth crores of rupees to the rich, but they do not have money to give to the farmers.”

Referring to the previous Congress-led UPA government, he said, “Whatever promise Congress made, it fulfilled it.”

Kharge, who has been reiterating the Constitution was under “at” from the ruling dispensation, while referring to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections said, “This fight is to save the Constitution and democracy. If you fail in this, then you will become a slave of Modi permanently.”

Accusing the government of misusing the central probe agencies, the Congress president said, “Today, if someone fights against injustice, an FIR is filed. Modi wants to rule by scaring the Opposition with ED, CBI and IT.”

He also mentioned the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra-led by party leader Rahul Gandhi and said the latter was fighting for the rights of the people.

Kharge said that Congress made every effort for the INDIA alliance, and appealed to the party workers to form formidable teams at the booth-level in view of the upcoming elections.
