According to eyewitnesses, two coaches of the 63081 Rampurhat–Jasidih Passenger train derailed just before the train was to arrive at Dumka Railway Station. Because of the train’s slow speed and the alertness of the locomotive pilot, a serious accident was avoided.

The derailment resulted in damage to an OHE (Overhead Electrical Equipment) electric pole near the station. However, due to the controlled speed, no passengers were harmed.

The Station Manager of Dumka immediately informed senior railway officials about the incident. As a result of the derailment, train movement on the Dumka–Rampurhat rail section has been temporarily disrupted. Efforts are underway to summon a technical team at the earliest to restore normal rail operations on the route.
