He said that the Congress is seeking the support of SDPI, which is the political wing of PFI. The Communists are also vying for their support.
The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday detained 10 people in connection with its probe into a new ISIS module which was allegedly planning to carry out blasts in north India, especially in the national capital, officials said.
The agency carried out searches at 16 locations in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in connection with a probe against a new ISIS module styled as ‘Harkat ul Harb e Islam’.
In Uttar Pradesh, where it conducted joint searches with the state’s Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), five persons were detained in Amroha district, including one Suhail, said to be the leader of the group.

The searches started at different locations early morning and were still underway, an official said, refusing to divulge any further details.
Meanwhile, in east Delhi’s Jafarabad area the NIA carried out searches with the Delhi Police’s Special Cell.
In December 2017, the Ministry of Home Affairs had informed that the NIA along with state security agencies had arrested 103 accused in cases against ISIS cadres or sympathisers with the maximum number of people being arrested from Uttar Pradesh.
According to the MHA report, Uttar Pradesh topped the list with 17 arrests followed by Maharashtra and Telangana 16 and Kerala 14.
“National Investigation Agency (NIA) and State Security Agencies registered cases against ISIS cadres/sympathizers and arrested 103 accused in these cases — Uttar Pradesh-17, Maharashtra-16, Telangana-16, Kerala-14, Karnataka-08, Madhya Pradesh-06, Tamil Nadu-05, West Bengal-05, Uttrakhand-04, Rajasthan-04, Gujarat-04, Bihar-02, Delhi-01, Jammu & Kashmir-01,” informed MoS home affairs, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir.
