He added that all necessary preparations have been completed and a grand stage is being set up at Gandhi Maidan. Apart from the Chief Minister, several prominent NDA leaders will address the gathering of women from across the state.
Meanwhile, a press conference was organised over the failure to pass the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in Parliament. It was addressed by women leaders from NDA constituent parties, including BJP Mahila Morcha national vice president and Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh, JD(U) leader and former minister Lesi Singh, Rashtriya Lok Morcha MLA Snehlata Kushwaha, Hindustani Awam Morcha (S) MLA Jyoti Devi, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) women’s wing state president Shobha Sinha Paswan.
The leaders said the moment could have been historic, but the opposition’s actions had left half the population feeling insulted. They added that women’s reservation should have been viewed above party politics.
“Women are sensitive; the leader of the TMC is herself a woman and should have understood women’s pain,” said Darshana Singh, adding that women across the country have faith in Narendra Modi.
