In a brazen incident, a wanted absconding accused and his family members fired at a police team that had come to arrest the man, resulting in bullet injuries to a police constable in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday night, when a police team went to the Janakpur village to arrest the accused Ankit Gurjar.

As per CSP Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, Ankit was absconding for the past 15 days in connection with an attempt to murder case on him, in which a youth was attacked and seriously injured in the Maharajpur area.

When the team reached the village, Ankit and his relatives opened fire on the cops.
The official said that constable Anil Tomar was hit in the leg by a bullet. He sustained an injury and was rushed to a hospital in Gwalior.
As a result, the police team could not arrest Ankit Gurjar and was forced to return empty-handed.
Police have registered a fresh case against the accused and initiated the process to declare a reward on them, the CSP added.
