In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Many congratulations and best wishes to Samrat Chaudhary on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar. Amit Shah also congratulated Samrat Chaudhary, stating, “Heartiest congratulations to Samrat Chaudhary on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar. As the first Chief Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar, I wish him a successful tenure.”

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar, the NDA has been serving the people of Bihar with dedication, and I am confident that this will gain further momentum under your leadership. The NDA’s double-engine government will work with even greater energy towards building a safe and developed Bihar,” he added.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also extended his wishes, saying, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Samrat Chaudhary on taking oath as the new Chief Minister of Bihar. I am confident that under your leadership, Bihar will develop at a faster pace and will be counted among the most developed states in the country.”

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav took a dig while congratulating Samrat Chaudhary. In a social media post, he wrote, “Congratulations to Samrat Chaudhary for fulfilling his pledge to remove the ‘elected’ Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from the post, and best wishes on becoming the ‘selected’ Chief Minister.”

Tejashwi Yadav further added, “I hope the new Chief Minister is fully aware of the harsh reality that even after 21 years of NDA rule, Bihar continues to lag far behind the national average on most NITI Aayog parameters and sustainable development indicators, including quality education, healthcare, law and order, income and investment, consumption, jobs and employment, poverty and migration, and overall human development.”

He also said, “I hope the new ‘selected’ Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will work with determination for Bihar’s progress, prosperity, peace, harmony, security, and overall development, and will not mortgage the self-respect of the people of Bihar to outside influences.”

Earlier, Samrat Chaudhary took oath as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar, along with Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav from the JD(U), who were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
