The family searched for him but in vain. Consequently, they lodged a missing person complaint at the MIG police station. During the police investigations, Ali’s blood-stained jacket was recovered from the Shridevi Apartment near the family’s house.

CCTV footage showed Ali riding a cycle near the apartment, and then two young men were seen taking him with them towards the apartment.

On searching the building today, the police recovered Ali’s body stuffed inside a bed box in flat number 42 of the apartment. He had strangulation marks on his neck, besides other injury marks too.

According to MIG police station Inspector C B Singh, teams of forensics examined the spot, while the body was sent for post-mortem. He said further investigations are on in the matter.

Sources said that police have detained a prime suspect, whose name is said to be Rehan (21). A search is on for the second suspect.
