Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has taken a key step to strengthen her party’s organization ahead of the Mission 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
She has convened a special meeting of BAMCEF (Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation) (BAMCEF) on November 1, focusing on organizational strategy and increasing participation of the backward classes.

According to sources, the meeting will deliberate on reactivating the BAMCEF cadre and reinforcing the party’s organizational framework. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BSP had also attempted to revive BAMCEF, but the efforts did not yield the desired results. Now, with an eye on the upcoming state polls, Mayawati aims to make BAMCEF a key vehicle for expanding the party’s grassroots base.
Mayawati herself is expected to attend the meeting and finalize strategies to mobilize backward communities under the BSP banner. The discussion will also focus on how BAMCEF-affiliated government employees and educated sections can more effectively promote the party’s ideology and outreach among marginalized communities.
Meanwhile, the BSP is carrying out organizational reshuffles to boost ground-level activity. Sarwar Malik has been appointed as the chief in charge of the Lucknow division, while Munkad Ali has been given charge of both Kanpur and Lucknow divisions.
Party insiders believe that BAMCEF has always been the ideological backbone of BSP, and its renewed activism could play a decisive role in the 2027 Assembly elections.
