Marketing Communication & Advertising Limited celebrated its Golden Jubilee

Karnataka State Marketing Communication & Advertising Limited (KSMCA) celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 4th of January at the Taj West End Hotel, Bengaluru.

The event was inaugurated by Sri Basavaraj S. Bommai, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka. Speaking on the occasion he said that a government institution doing commercial business is a big challenge. Despite several restrictions it is giving stiff competition to private companies, which is a matter of pride. He also said that a man completing 50 years may not be big thing but a company crossing 50 years is an important occasion.

Dr. Murugesh R. Nirani, Honourable Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, unveiled the new Logo of the Company and released the commemorative Postal Cover. Dr. Nirani expressed that the Company which was established in 1972 has been growing steadily and under the leadership of Sri M.S. Kari Goudra, Chairman and Sri Siddalingappa B. Poojari, Managing Director and with the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister has been a profit making organization.

Sri B.S. Yediyurappa, former Chief Minister of Karnataka released the Souvenir to mark this occasion and said that the Company along with creating Ads for the Govt. sector should also foray into the private sector and towards this the company needed to be autonomous and he suggested that Hon’ble Minister Dr. Nirani should take the lead in this.

Sri Siddalingappa B. Poojari in his introductory address described the company’s journey so far and informed that the company had achieved a turnover of Rs. 406.03 crores in the last financial year.

Sri M.S. Kari Goudra, Chairman, KSMCA, outlined the future plans of the company like starting a T.V. Channel, Construction of own buildings for Branch Offices and emphasized the need to collect overdue amounts from the clients. He also presented a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding the future requirements for the Company.

Sri C.C. Patil, Hon’ble PWD Minister, Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt., Commerce & Industries Department were also present on the occasion.

Sri Rizwan Arshad, Hon’ble MLA, Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency presided over the function.
