Malpractices in SSC exams: Parliamentary panel says maintain sanctity

Concerned over the malpractices in the examination process of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), a Parliamentary panel headed by BJP member of Rajya Sabha, Bhupendra Yadav, felt the sanctity of the examination process must be maintained as it was imperative that the trust of public in general and of examinees, in particular, in the examination process is maintained at any cost.

In its report tabled in the current budget session of Parliament, the 30-member committee suggested that the Commission should spare no efforts in making the process of examinations free from all types of malpractices and technical glitches.

As the examinations have gone online and the IT infrastructure for the conduct of examinations is hired from private institutions, labs and technical service providers, these entities should be closely supervised by the Commission and an adequate number of Central Government officers should be deployed at examination centres in invigilation and supervisory capacity, it said.
