Following Kerala Congress leaders, party’s national president Mallikarjuna Kharge on Wednesday alleged that the CPM and BJP have a secret deal in Kerala .
Addressing a UDF election rally in Kozhikode on Wednesday, Kharge said there is a strong undercurrent between the LDF and the BJP in Kerala. A vote for the CPM is a vote for the BJP and the BJP is trying to make the CPM win in the state assembly polls. “That is why the BJP has not fielded strong candidates in many constituencies,” he added.

Kharge criticized the LDF for standing with the BJP, not with the people. “If you want change, you should vote for the UDF,” he declared.
The Congress president said Kerala would collapse if the LDF comes to power again.
Stating that there has been no development in Kerala in the last 10 years, he said that the LDF government’s achievement is the increase in the number of bars and the debt of the state.
The Congress president claimed that the state has become the “second drug capital” in India, next only to Punjab in terms of drug-related cases. He alleged that the 10-year rule of the LDF has resulted in the degradation of the health sector.
Speaking on the Sabarimala gold theft, Kharge accused the LDF government of allowing the looting of Lord Ayyappa’s gold, showing a complete lack of reverence and security. He expressed shock over the LDF government’s failure to protect even the sacred items within the shrine. Alleging that the Kerala government is actively shielding the perpetrators of the Sabarimala gold robbery, he said it has given an opportunity to all the accused in the gold robbery case to get a bail.
He claimed that instead of punishing the thieves, the government is creating opportunities for them to evade justice.
