The statement further said that Yadav wished the journalist a speedy recovery, as he is currently undergoing treatment in hospital. The Chief Minister also instructed the Bhopal Collector to ensure that the best possible medical care is provided.

The incident occurred in the Ashta area of Sehore district a few days ago during a protest by Karni Sena activists. Slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were reportedly raised during the agitation.

The situation later escalated, leading to stone-pelting and tension in the area.

It is alleged that when a Zee News team reached Ashta to cover the incident, a dispute arose during the reporting, following which police personnel allegedly snatched the cameraman’s camera and assaulted reporter Pramod Sharma.
