Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Tuesday welcomed Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa at Parliament House, marking a significant visit that underscores the strong bilateral relations between India and Mongolia.
During the meeting, President Ukhnaa was given a tour of the two chambers and galleries, showcasing India’s parliamentary democracy.

Speaker Birla and President Ukhnaa held discussions on matters of mutual interest, further strengthening the partnership between the two nations.

The visit highlights the growing parliamentary exchanges between India and Mongolia, with both countries sharing a deep cultural and spiritual connection.
India and Mongolia have a close and multifaceted partnership, anchored in shared democratic values and cooperation in areas such as defence, energy, mining, information technology, education, and healthcare.
President Ukhnaa is on a four-day state visit to India, aimed at boosting bilateral ties and exploring areas of cooperation. His visit includes meetings with top Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
The Mongolian President’s visit is expected to further cement the strategic partnership between the two nations.
