Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap got engaged to Bihar’s former Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai’s granddaughter Aishwarya Rai in a grand ceremony at a 5-star hotel in Patna on Wednesday.

Lalu Prasad, who is serving jail terms in connection with fodder scam cases and currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS in New Delhi, could not attend the function.

Reacting to his father Lalu Prasad Yadav’s absence, Tej Pratap Twitted: “Miss you Papa.”

Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai exchanged rings in the presence of family and friends.

Tej Pratap’s fiancee Aishwarya Rai is the daughter of Chandrika Rai, a former minister in Bihar government.

According to the reports, Aishwarya completed her schooling from Bihar and higher education from Delhi.

The couple will reportedly marry on May 12 and Veterinary College ground in Patna has been booked for the occasion.
